SS501 is a five-member Korean boyband. They are made up of Kim Hyun Joong(the leader), Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, Park Jung Min and Kim Hyung Joon
Their music can be described as pop/ballads. The name SS501 is that the first S stands for "Super" and the second S is the abbrievation of "Star". The numbers 5,0 and 1 means "Five members united as 1 forever" They officially debuted on 8th June 2005, after that,they made many mini albums and appeared on reality shows like 'Thank you for waking us up' and 'Heroine 6'
